WHAT CAN I DO OUTSIDE RGS?

ONE (SINGAPORE) will also be organising a host of activities over the SUTA weekend (17-19 Oct) which will require both volunteers and participation.

1.  Taking photos for the ONE (SINGAPORE) 2015 Countdown Clock – In this e-campaign, simply upload of a photo of yourself holding a number 0-9 and you will become part of the Countdown Clock.  Upload the photo from 17-19 October and you’ll be counted in Stand Up.  The clock will show world leaders – person by person, second by second – how much time is left to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. We will also have teams of volunteers telling people about Stand Up, why it’s important and about the Countdown Clock. They will also ask people if they would like to be part of the Clock – and if so, they’ll take the person’s photo and write down their name and email address.  Volunteers compete in teams of 2 to see who can take the most photos. (Each team will also bulk upload the photos that they take.)

2.  Running a booth and taking photos at GV – Golden Village has indicated that they will let us set up booths in a couple theatres to sell merchandise, pass out flyers and take photos for the Clock. Volunteers are needed to run booths at two of their cinemas from 5 to 8pm everyday over the SUTA weekend.

3. *scape Youth Park concert – A Stand Up concert with Great Spy Experiment, Jack N Rai and more. Volunteers are needed to run a ONE (SINGAPORE) booth – setup around 5:30pm to sell whitebands and t-shirts, and distribute membership forms and flyers. (Sat 18 October, 7-11 pm)

4.  ONE (SINGAPORE) Stand Up event – Fri 17 October, 6:30-8:30pm at The Forbidden City (IndoChine, Clarke Quay). Volunteers will be needed to help with registration and booth.

If you want to participate in #1 (taking photos for the Countdown Clock), please send an email to rgsonechapter@gmail.com entitled“Countdown Clock” with your name, class and e-mail address by Mon, 13 Oct. All other volunteer opportunities will probably be open during COAF at the RGS ONE Chapter’s booth, but priority will be given to trained volunteers.

Feel free to come down to any of these events to show your support!
